Research Areas  

The lab is composed of the following distinct research groups.

Life Sciences  

The Life Sciences group is involved in the development of data-management platforms and natural language processing for bio-data and drug-discovery.

Quantitative Finance  

The Quantitative Finance group is involved in research that spans practical challenges such as accurate, predictive pricing and hedging of derivatives to abstract issues in stochastic calculus.

eSecurity  

The eSecurity group is involved in the development of automated copyright, digital rights, and biometric identity management tools that help enterprises counter network abuse, copyright infringement, and unauthorized data access.

Open Source
The Open Source and Linux Centre of Excellence group focuses on providing open source solutions to the problems such as enabling Indian language usage on computers, distributed content management,  High availability & Virtualization.Most of the work done by the CoE becomes available as Free Software and is eventually available through major Linux distributions and the internet.

PubmedAssist — A web-based tool developed to enhance the search and exploration of biomedical information, including biomedical literature and in-house documents.

Knowledge Engine-based Cluster Management (KE-CM) — KE-CM enhances a data centre’s reliability, availability, and serviceability (RAS) characteristics by automating certain critical decisions involving the migration of Virtual Machines (VMs) across clusters.

eSecurity  

VideoMudra — A digital watermarking solution that embeds a unique watermark on a video file to enable piracy tracking and detection.
