TCS mKRISHI & Home Infotainment Platform wins Aegis Graham Bell Innovation Award (June 10)

mKRISHI from TCS Innovation Labs - Mumbai and the Home Infotainment Platform (HIP) from TCS Innovation Labs - Kolkata have won the Aegis Graham Bell Innovation Award. mKRISHI won the award under the category "Telecom for bottom of the pyramid" and the Home Infotainment Platform won the award under the category "Innovation in Business processes and services in Telecom". Tha Aegis Graham Bell Award was established by the Aegis School of Telecommunications.

TCS wins Big Tick in the Business in the Community's (BitC) Awards for Excellence 2010 (June 10)

TCS mkrishi- an innovative platform to deliver personilzed integrated services to farmers developed by TCS Innovation Labs- Mumbai, has received the Big Tick Award for Excellence bestowed by Business in the Community in association with the Department for International Development, Government of the United Kingdom.

TCSer wins MIT's India TR 35 (Technology Review) Award (Mar 10)

Dr. Bhushan G.Jagyasi, Scientist at TCS Innovation Labs-Mumbai, has been honored by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Indian Edition of Technology Review (TR 35) for his outstanding Innovative solution wherein human participatory sensing and sensor network based approaches are integrated for providing accurate plant disease forecasts.

TCSers paper awarded best in International Conference on Digital Libraries (ICDL)-2010 (Mar 10)

Surjeet Mishra’s and Dr.Hiranmay Ghosh’s, both from TCS Innovation Labs- Delhi, paper has been adjudged best in the International Conference on Digital Libraries (ICDL) - 2010. In their paper titled “Ontology-based visualization and navigation in an online Digital Library”, they presented a novel approach to visualize and navigate in the document collection of a digital library using ontology.

TCSer clears CSDP exam of IEEE (Mar 10)

Sekhar Vadari from Business Systems & Cybernetics Centre (BSCC) team has cleared the IEEE Computer Society's Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) certification program. The Certified Software Development Professional program is a software engineering and software development professional certification provided by the IEEE Computer Society.

TCS wins NASSCOM Social Innovation Honours 2010 (Feb 10)

TCS Mobile Agro Advisory System – mKrishi has won the Nasscom Social Innovation Honours 2010 in the ICT Led Business Innovation for Development category. Nasscom Foundation Social Innovation Honours recognises excellence and encourages innovation in social development initiatives. The Honours showcases projects that demonstrate best practices through exemplary use of Information and Communication Technologies in the areas of social transformation.

TCS wins Golden Peacock Innovative Product / Service Award -2010 (Jan 10)

TCS data masking tool Masketeer™ has been awarded the ‘Golden Peacock Innovative Product/Service Award 2010’ by the awards jury, under the Chairmanship of Justice P. N. Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India and Member, UN Human Rights Commission.

Masketeer is the data privacy product of TCS designed to mask sensitive data. While taking care of privacy Masketeer retains realistic look and feel of data so that utility of data is not lost. By using Masketeer, organizations can share sensitive data across geographical boundaries without violating various privacy regulations (GLBA, HIPPA, UK Data Protection act and so on) governing the region.

TCS wins 2009 Internet Telephony IPTV Excellence Award (Jul 09)

Technology Marketing Corporation’s (TMC) INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine named TCS’ IPTV service as a recipient of the 2009 IPTV Excellence Award.

TCS was chosen for the award based on its expertise in the burgeoning area of IPTV and the significant role it has played in the launch and subsequent support and enhancement of IPTV services provided by BT, under the product name of BT Vision.

TCS wins Golden Peacock Innovation Award 2008 (Oct 08)

TCS won the Golden Peacock Award for Innovation, 2008 for its pioneering work in the field of mobile commerce. The Award was presented at London during the ninth International Conference on Corporate Governance.

TCS wins Wall Street Journal Global Innovation Technology Award in Wireless Category (Sep 08)

The Wall Street Journal, the world’s leading business publication, selected TCS’ Mobile Agro Advisory Service, mKrishi, as the winner of its 2008 Technology Innovation Award in the wireless technology category.
The Wall Street Journal received more than 700 entries for the Innovation Awards, and a Wall Street Journal editor narrowed the field down to the 162 that were scored by the judges. Winners were chosen based on whether the technology represented a breakthrough from conventional methods, rather than just an incremental improvement.

TCS has been listed in the top 50 innovations in the Nasscom Innovations Awards 2008 for mkrishi- mobile based farmer-advisory service. The NASSCOM Innovation Awards is a key initiative by NASSCOM to highlight the true innovators in the Indian IT industry.

TCS Java Profiler, Jensor, wins the “Skoch – The World is Open” award (March 08)

Jensor – The TCS Java Profiler won the “Skoch – The World is Open” award in the technology category, on 18th March at the Skoch Summit held in Delhi. The Red Hat sponsored award was instituted to identify, acknowledge, salute and promote best practices and wonderful solutions created in the field of open source technology. The first of the annual awards recognises the most impactful open source technology implementations in India received 163 nominations.
