Research Areas
Speech, Script, Image and Natural Language Processing The lab has been involved with several initiatives in the area of user experience and business analytics with a primary focus on employing speech, script, image and natural language technologies to devise applications with enhanced usability, accessibility, and interactivity. The lab has been involved in marrying several technologies to create a framework which allows real time environment viewing remotely. The framework is itself generic allowing teleporting environment to enable remote advise, while the focus is on overall development of rural masses in the fields that include agriculture, health and education. The lab’s efforts in this area seek to enable pioneering applications based on and distributed through mobile devices, and create business opportunities by serving under-served sections of the consumer community.
